For those of a certain age, the BBC Micro computer (launched 1981) and the early video games experienced on it informed life-long relationships with technology
For a subset of those, with a inclination to politics rather than space invaders, Great Britain Ltd by Simon Hessel (launched 1982) was the cleverest and most interesting of those games.
Although inevitably dated in terms of graphics, interface and modelling, so long as you are old enough and interested enough to remember the SDP and inflation, you will grasp the game and probably enjoy it. Thanks to the boffins at Complete BBC Games Archive, anyone can try it, but you need a keyboard.
